Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
For Buyers
Piyesa operates a Part Request system rather than a traditional product listing catalog. Here’s how it works:
- Request a Part: As a buyer, you start by posting a Part Request on Piyesa.ph, describing the car or motorcycle part you need (including details like vehicle model, part name, specifications, etc.). This request is sent out on the platform for sellers to view.
- Receive Quotes from Sellers: Sellers who have the part (or can source it) will respond to your request with a quote. Each quote includes details about the part (to ensure it matches your request), the price the seller is offering, the shipping fee, and an estimated delivery timeframe. You may receive multiple quotes from different sellers.
- Choose the Best Quote and Pay: You can compare all the quotes and select the one that suits you best (considering price, seller ratings, delivery time, etc.). Once you accept a seller’s quote, an order is created. You will then pay for the order through Piyesa’s secure checkout system. (Payment goes to Piyesa, to be held in escrow until you receive your item.)
- Delivery of the Part: After payment, the seller will ship the part to your provided address. Piyesa holds onto your payment and only releases it to the seller 14 days after delivery is confirmed (or sooner, if you confirm that you’ve received the item and are satisfied). This ensures a safe transaction – the seller only gets paid when you have your part in hand as described.
This Part Request system makes it easy to find even specific or hard-to-find parts: you tell sellers what you need, and they come to you with offers, all through the Piyesa.ph platform.
Piyesa.ph supports multiple convenient payment methods for buyers, including:
- Credit or Debit Cards – You can pay using major credit cards or debit cards.
- GCash – Mobile wallet payments via GCash are accepted.
- PayMaya – You can also use PayMaya for transactions.
All payments are processed through Piyesa’s secure payment system. When you pay for an order, the money doesn’t go directly to the seller right away – Piyesa holds the payment in escrow until the transaction is successfully completed. The funds are typically released to the seller 14 days after delivery confirmation. This escrow process protects you as a buyer because the seller only gets paid after you have received your part and had the chance to verify it. It also protects sellers by assuring them that the buyer’s payment is secured by the platform during the transaction. Note: Cash on Delivery (COD) is not offered, since the platform’s prepaid escrow system ensures a smoother, safer process for both parties.
Delivery of parts on Piyesa.ph is arranged by the sellers. Once you place an order (by accepting a seller’s quote), the seller is responsible for shipping the item to you via a third-party courier service. The seller will typically specify the shipping fee and an estimated delivery time in their quote, so you’ll know the cost and how soon to expect the part. After you order, the seller will dispatch the item through their chosen courier (for example, LBC, J&T, Grab Express, etc., depending on what they prefer). You will receive the package at the shipping address you provided.
Yes, Piyesa.ph is a nationwide platform – sellers can ship parts to any location in the Philippines. As long as a reputable courier can deliver to your area, you can use Piyesa to buy parts there. Sellers on Piyesa are encouraged to serve all regions of the Philippines, so whether you’re in Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, or Mindanao, you can order parts through the platform. Delivery times will vary based on the distance and the courier service used, but the seller’s quote will give an estimated timeframe. (Tip: Once your item is shipped, the seller may provide a tracking number via the platform so you can monitor the delivery status.)
Piyesa.ph provides an integrated messaging system that allows buyers and sellers to communicate while keeping personal details private. If you have questions about a part or need more information from a seller, you can use the “Messages” or “Ask the Seller” feature on the platform to reach out. All inquiries and clarifications happen through the Piyesa website – the seller will be notified and can respond to you there.
Keep in mind that for safety and transparency, Piyesa does not share the direct contact information of buyers or sellers (such as phone numbers or personal email addresses). Communication is kept on the platform on purpose. This means buyers cannot directly call or email sellers, and vice versa. Similarly, meeting up in person is not a part of the Piyesa process – all transactions should be completed through the platform with delivery by courier. Keeping communication and payments on Piyesa ensures that your transaction remains protected (since the payment is escrowed and our team can assist if any issues arise). If you have any issues contacting a seller or don’t get a response within a reasonable time, you can reach out to Piyesa’s customer support for assistance.
We want you to be confident when buying parts. Piyesa.ph offers a 15-day return window for purchases, giving buyers the ability to return an item if needed. Here’s an overview of how returns and refunds work:
- Eligibility & Timeframe: If you’re not satisfied with a part you received (for example, it doesn’t fit your vehicle, or it wasn’t as described), you may request a return within 15 calendar days from the date of delivery. After 15 days, the transaction is considered final, so be sure to inspect the item promptly.
- Initiating a Return: To request a return, you must contact the seller through the Piyesa platform within that 15-day period and inform them that you’d like to return the item. (There may be a “Request Return” button or you can send a message – in general, make sure to document your request via Piyesa’s communication channels.) The seller will then provide return instructions or authorization if the return is agreed upon.
- Return Shipping: In most cases, if a return is accepted, the buyer is responsible for the return shipping costs. You’ll need to send the item back to the seller in the condition you received it. (If the return is due to the item being significantly not as described or the wrong item was sent, sometimes the seller may offer to cover the return shipping – but unless they do, assume you’ll pay for sending it back.)
- Refund Process: Once the seller receives the returned part and confirms its condition, Piyesa will process your refund. Refunds are typically issued to your original payment method within about 5 business days after the return is completed. The platform will notify you when your refund has been processed. (Because payments were held in escrow, the refund will simply come out of that escrow without having ever been released to the seller.)
- Disagreements or Issues: If there’s any disagreement between you and the seller about a return – for example, who should pay for return shipping, or if the seller is unresponsive – you can escalate the issue to Piyesa support. We will step in to mediate and help resolve the situation. Our goal is to ensure fair outcomes under the return policy.
Always make sure to keep the item in good condition if you intend to return it, and, if possible, in the original packaging. Following the above process helps ensure a smooth return and refund experience on Piyesa.
Product warranties (if any) are managed by the sellers, not by Piyesa directly. Piyesa is a marketplace platform, so it doesn’t provide its own warranty on the items sold. However, that doesn’t mean you have no warranty at all – it depends on the part and the seller:
- New Parts: If you purchase a brand-new part, it might come with a manufacturer’s warranty or a seller’s warranty. For example, an official distributor or store selling on Piyesa might offer a standard warranty for new items (like a certain period of coverage for defects). If a warranty is available, sellers will often mention it in the part description or quote details. Feel free to ask the seller via message about any warranty on a new part before buying.
- Used Parts: Used or second-hand auto parts are generally sold “as is”, meaning they typically do not come with a warranty, unless the seller explicitly provides one. Many used parts will not have any guarantee due to their nature (they may have wear and tear, etc.).
- Seller’s Responsibility: Regardless of warranty, sellers are expected to accurately represent the condition of the part. If a part fails to match the description or is non-functional on arrival, the 15-day return policy offers protection (you could return it even without a formal warranty in that case). Any additional warranty beyond the 15-day return window would be something offered by the seller or manufacturer.
In summary, Piyesa itself does not cover warranties on items – any warranty will be between the buyer and the seller (or manufacturer). We encourage you to review the information provided by the seller and ask questions if warranty is a concern. Sellers should be clear about the condition of the part and any guarantees they provide. Always feel free to use the platform messaging to clarify warranty terms with the seller before completing a purchase.
Piyesa.ph is built to protect both buyers and sellers in case of any issues. If something doesn’t go as expected with your order, here’s what you can do:
- Non-Delivery: If you paid for a part but have not received it within the expected delivery timeframe, first check the tracking information (if provided) and then message the seller on the platform to ask for an update. There might be shipping delays or other issues the seller can explain. If the seller fails to provide a satisfactory update or the item is confirmed lost, you should report the issue to Piyesa. Because the payment is held in escrow, the seller will not receive payment until we confirm the item was delivered to you. In a case of non-delivery, Piyesa can cancel the order and return your money if evidence shows you never got the item.
- Item Not as Described / Wrong Item: If you did receive the part but there’s a problem – for example, the part is significantly not as described, defective, or the wrong part was sent – notify the seller as soon as possible through the platform messages. You can request a return or exchange as per the return policy. The seller might resolve the issue by sending a replacement, or by accepting a return and offering a refund. Make sure to document the issue (take photos of the item, note how it differs from the description, etc.) and communicate clearly with the seller.
- Escalate to Piyesa if Needed: If you and the seller cannot resolve the problem directly, or the seller is unresponsive/uncooperative, you can open a dispute with Piyesa’s support team. Piyesa will step in to mediate the dispute between you and the seller. We will review the communications and evidence, and work towards a fair resolution. This could result in a refund, a replacement being arranged, or another solution depending on the situation. Piyesa acts as an impartial mediator to make sure the issue is handled according to our policies and terms.
- Buyer Protection: Thanks to our escrow system and dispute resolution process, you’re protected as a buyer. The seller doesn’t get paid until you have your item, so if there’s a serious problem, that money can be returned to you. In rare cases where mediation doesn’t resolve the issue, further actions can be taken (such as arbitration or legal steps in accordance with Philippine law), but fortunately this is seldom necessary. The vast majority of transactions on Piyesa go smoothly, and we are here to support you in the uncommon event that something goes wrong.
Remember, the first step is always to communicate with the seller – many issues can be quickly fixed with a clarification or a mutual agreement. And if not, Piyesa has your back with a formal dispute resolution process.
For Sellers
Piyesa.ph only accepts registered businesses as sellers.
To sell on Piyesa, you must be a legally registered business in the Philippines, such as a DTI-registered sole proprietorship, a corporation, a partnership, or any other formally recognized business entity. Individual or unregistered casual sellers are not allowed on the platform.
During the seller sign-up process, we will require your business information and verification documents (such as your business name, DTI or SEC registration, BIR details, and contact information). This ensures the integrity of the marketplace and compliance with Philippine law.
Once your business account is verified and approved, you can immediately start responding to Part Requests and selling automotive parts to buyers across the Philippines.
Piyesa’s seller community includes all types of legitimate automotive businesses—from small repair shops and salvage yards to large retailers and distributors. If your business is properly registered and compliant, you are welcome to join.
Selling on Piyesa.ph uses a quote-based system driven by buyer requests, which is a bit different from traditional e-commerce platforms.
Here’s how you can start selling:
- Sign Up as a Seller: First, create a seller account on Piyesa.ph (if you haven’t already). This will involve providing some information about yourself or your business and agreeing to the seller terms. Once registered and logged in as a seller, you can access the marketplace’s Part Requests.
- Browse Part Requests: Instead of uploading products for buyers to browse, you will see a list of Part Requests that buyers have posted. Each Part Request describes a part a buyer is looking for (including details like the make/model of the vehicle and specific part requirements). Think of it like a job board for parts – buyers are asking for specific items.
- Send a Quote: When you find a request for a part that you have in stock (or can source), you can respond by sending the buyer a Quote. Quotes are essentially your offers to the buyer. In your quote, you will input: the exact part you are offering (it should match what the buyer is asking for, including part number or compatibility info), the price you are charging for it, the shipping fee or delivery charge (if not already included in your price), and the estimated delivery time (how long it will take you to ship and deliver). You can also add a short note or photos of the part if relevant, to help the buyer decide. Be sure your quote details are clear and accurate. When you submit the quote, the buyer will be notified.
- Order Confirmation: If the buyer accepts your quote, congrats – you’ve made a sale! At that point, an order is generated. Piyesa will notify you of the confirmed order and provide you with the buyer’s delivery address and any other necessary details. The buyer will pay through Piyesa at the moment they accept your quote, so the funds for the order are secured by the platform. (The payment is held by Piyesa in escrow until you complete the delivery, as explained below.)
- Ship the Part: Now it’s your turn to fulfill your end of the deal. You should ship the part to the buyer within the timeframe you promised. You’ll use your own choice of reliable courier (for example, LBC, JRS, Grab, etc.) to send the item. Pack the part securely and send it to the buyer’s address. Then, update the order status on Piyesa (and provide tracking information if possible) so the buyer knows the item is on the way.
- Get Paid: Once the part is delivered to the buyer, the buyer has a 14-day window (from delivery) to inspect it and make sure everything is okay. Piyesa holds the buyer’s payment during this period. If the buyer is satisfied (and no dispute or return is initiated within 14 days of delivery), Piyesa will release the payment to you, minus the platform fees. The money will be transferred to your Piyesa account balance or linked bank account as per our payout schedule. Essentially, you’ll receive your earnings 14 days after the item is confirmed delivered (or sooner, if the buyer confirms completion earlier). This system ensures that buyers are protected, but as long as you deliver what you promised, you are guaranteed to get paid for your sale. Piyesa will notify you when the funds are released to you.
In summary, to start selling: sign up, respond to buyer requests with quotes, and fulfill orders. There’s no need to maintain a lengthy product catalog on the site – you simply react to what buyers are actively looking for. This can save you time and connect you directly with buyers who need your exact parts.
Using Piyesa.ph is free to join for sellers – there are no listing fees, no monthly subscription fees, and no upfront costs. We only make money when you make money, by taking a small commission on each successful sale.
The fees for sellers are as follows:
- Commission Fee: For each completed order, Piyesa charges a commission of 8% of the total order amount. This percentage is calculated on the gross order value (which includes the part’s price plus the shipping fee that the buyer pays). Piyesa will automatically deduct this commission from the buyer’s payment at the time of the transaction.
- Transaction Processing Fee: For each completed order, Piyesa charges a payment processing cost of 2.24% of the total order amount. This percentage is calculated on the gross order value (which includes the part’s price plus the shipping fee that the buyer pays). Piyesa will automatically deduct this commission from the buyer’s payment at the time of the transaction.
Aside from those fees, there are no other charges for selling. You can create an account for free and quote on as many requests as you want. You only incur the fees when you actually sell a part.
Keep in mind that you are responsible for any shipping costs (but you usually pass those to the buyer in your quote) and any costs of sourcing the part itself on your end, of course. But Piyesa won’t charge you extra beyond those fees. This transparent fee structure helps you price your parts competitively, knowing exactly what cut will go to the platform.
Sellers on Piyesa have several important responsibilities to ensure buyers have a good experience and the marketplace runs smoothly.
By selling on Piyesa, you agree to:
- Provide Accurate Part Descriptions: Always be truthful and clear about the part you are offering. Include correct details such as the part number, condition (new or used, any defects), compatible vehicle models, etc. The item you deliver must match the description and specifications you quoted. Misrepresenting items can lead to returns, disputes, or account penalties. (Honesty is key – buyers rely on your description since they can’t see the part in person before purchase.)
- Sell Legitimate, Legal Parts: You are responsible for ensuring that everything you sell is obtained through legal means and is not prohibited. Do not list stolen parts or any parts that violate the law or third-party rights. For example, selling parts from a stolen vehicle or counterfeit parts is strictly forbidden. Such activities can result in immediate removal from the platform and potential legal action. Always comply with Philippine laws regarding the sale of automotive parts (such as regulations on second-hand parts, import restrictions, etc.). If you’re selling used parts, make sure they’re sourced legitimately (e.g., from licensed breakers or your own vehicle) with clear title. You assume full responsibility for the legality of what you sell.
- Set Fair Prices and Fees: Quote reasonable prices and only charge appropriate shipping fees. Price gouging or excessive shipping charges undermine buyer trust. Remember that Piyesa’s commission will be deducted from your price – factor that in, but keep your offers competitive. Transparency in pricing (e.g., if your quote’s shipping fee covers packaging, etc.) is appreciated by buyers.
- Ship Orders Promptly and Safely: Once a buyer accepts your quote, you are obligated to fulfill the order. Prepare the part for shipment and send it out as quickly as possible (within the handling time you promised in your quote). Pack the item securely to avoid damage in transit. You should ship via a reliable courier service and provide tracking information through the platform if available. Prompt shipping and delivery will lead to satisfied buyers and positive ratings.
- Communicate Professionally: Keep an open line of communication with the buyer through the Piyesa platform. If the buyer has questions before the sale, answer them to the best of your ability. If there’s any delay or issue in fulfilling the order, inform the buyer promptly via message. Professional and polite communication helps build trust. Remember, you should not exchange personal contact details or try to take transactions off-platform – all communication should remain on Piyesa for transparency and safety.
- Honor After-Sales Commitments: Be prepared to handle returns or issues in accordance with Piyesa’s policies. If a buyer requests a return within the 15-day window due to a valid reason, cooperate with them on the return process. Similarly, if you offered any kind of warranty or the part arrives not as described, you should work to make it right (either through a refund or replacement as appropriate). Piyesa’s system will support returns and you may have to accept a returned item and/or issue a refund if the circumstances meet the return criteria. Treat buyers fairly – a good reputation will help you succeed on the platform.
- Follow Platform Rules and Terms: Adhere to all of Piyesa’s terms and conditions for sellers. This includes not engaging in prohibited behavior like fraudulent listings, spamming the Part Request system, or bypassing Piyesa for outside deals. Also respect any suspension rules – e.g., repeated cancellations or policy violations could lead to account suspension. By playing by the rules, you help maintain a trustworthy marketplace for everyone.
In essence, your responsibilities boil down to honesty, legality, and reliability. Accurately describe your parts, fulfill orders as promised, and be responsive to buyers. Piyesa’s role is to provide the platform and facilitate the transaction (including payment handling and dispute mediation), but the actual sale contract is between you and the buyer, so it’s on you to deliver what you promise and solve any issues that arise. By meeting these responsibilities, you’ll build a strong reputation on Piyesa and likely gain more business from the platform’s user base. Happy selling!
